Unlocking Potential: New Features for Free Users in Mobicip

Right now, basic users have the following options:

• allow/block websites
• allow/block web categories
• instantly lock all devices in the account
• access Vacation mode

Let’s explore the latest enhancements tailored for free users, designed to enrich their experience without any additional cost.

1.Use preset schedules

Before: Basic users can only use preset Daily Free Time Limits and no access to Schedule settings. 

Now: In the new version, users will be able to use the existing preset schedules - School and Sleep. 

2.Manage Free Time Limit once for a day per profile

Before: Basic users won’t be able to manage Daily Free Time limits.

Now: Users can edit and manage Daily Free Time limits from the Dashboard once a day per user profile. 

If you wish to edit the Free time limit the second time, you can only allow for the whole day which will help you unlock a blocked device.

3.Access to Block Apps and App Categories feature

Before: Basic users won’t be able to block specific apps and app categories

Now: Specific apps and app categories can be blocked for each profile

4.More access to Activity and Usage Reports

Before: Limited access to activity/usage reports of their child’s device activity.

Now: Activity and usage report for the current day will be listed under Activity section

NOTE: Please note that you won’t be able to view activity reports of other days except the current date.

5.Manage two devices

Before: Basic users were allowed to manage one device through the basic account.

Now: Basic users can install and manage Mobicip on two devices in an account. You will be able to select the two devices that you wish to manage.

6.Screen Time and App Usage Time will be tracked

Before: Screen Time and app usage time will not be tracked and displayed in the account dashboard

Now: Screen Time and App Usage will be tracked and displayed in the dashboard for the current day.

7.Access to Locator feature

Before: Basic users won’t be able to view device location info

Now: Users can now view location info for the current day 

8.Lock child’s device

Before: Basic users won’t be able to lock access to devices

Now: Users can now lock one child’s devices at a time

Other changes:

• Vacation mode which used to work before won’t be available for basic plan anymore
• Family lock that locks all devices in an account won’t be available
• Location history will not be listed
